Mother

In clumsy steps made of words
Full of sentiments
Caressing soft summers
You glimpsed my future
And gave me life.

Today before the fire
From long nights without sleep
I thank you for your gesture
I send you my tears
Full of love
So your fast sailing vessel
Will find in them
The transcendent future
Opened by the dawn
In the moment of your death

May the light receive you
In your dress of white linen
And in all your joyful moments
That you have left us as our inheritance
I hope my kisses
And all the love I feel
Reach you in your flight toward eternity.
